Customer Rating: Summary: Careful of the batteries Comment: The charger is not intelligent. Leaving it plugged in will cook the battery pack, which, while not expensive (about half the cost of the tool), is not trivial to replace. The users complaining of batteries that don't hold a charge have probably suffered from this problem. To preserve battery life, run the batteries dead before recharging, and after the initial 9-hour charge, do not allow the tool to charge for more than 6 hours.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Quality Product Comment: This is a Good ,strong ,lightweight drill with a light at the front shining on the work-area ,the battery holds a charge very well and this little Guy has some power ,actually plenty for around the house / light-job usage. Well built, sturdy - Good Purchase !!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Versatile tool Comment: Although a bit large, this screwdriver is capable of a multitude of tasks. It has good torque, and with the right attachments, it also works well as a nut driver or a light duty drill. It does come with one drill bit, along with a flat head and phillips head bits. The ability to adjust the angle of the head and the small light are pluses. Mine didn't have the built-in tape measure as advertised, but I don't think it would be very useful anyway.
Customer Rating: Summary: junk Comment: Thought it looked versatile so I bought one. Bad decision. The batteries are weak and don't hold a charge. Called B&D, they sent me a new one. Same thing, lucky to drive 5 screws. I even bought new nicad batteries and replaced them. Same thing, maybe a design flaw? I'm shopping for a new one now. I'm finding that manufacturers try to save money on batteries and the tools suffer from it. So far, Makita batteries are the only ones I'd recommend.
Customer Rating: Summary: LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! Comment: I can't say enough wonderful things about this screw driver. As my first major tool purchase, I thought it looked to goo to be true. It's easy to use, even for a non-handy person as myself. The flash light is cool. The bending aspect makes reach or weird angles hassle free. It stores all it's parts and even has a tape measure!
The battery lasts so incredible long I've only had to charge it once in the past year. (Of course that is user dependent).
The only thing that would make this better is if came in different colors!

We can't think of anything we'd want to add to this little hummer. It's incredible what B&D has engineered into this system (we don't think it's fair to call it a "screwdriver"). Dual speed range lets you drill holes at high speed and drive screws at the slower speed. A 23-position clutch, just like what's on the big boys, will keep you from stripping your screws. But get this: Unlike conventional cordless screwdrivers and regular power drills, this tool's handle easily locks in three positions for tight areas and awkward spots. Genius! And just like the "real" drills, this one's got an accessible forward/reverse rocker switch for backing screws out, too. Here's something, though, that the big-boy drill makers should pick up: It's got on integrated light so you can always see your work surface clearly. For the money, we haven't seen anything like it. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste
