Customer Rating: Summary: rescue remedy Comment: I have been using this product for years, because at times, I become anxious and do not want to use anything other than herbal. Large crowds can cause me to hyperventilate, but I don't want to give up going to concerts, festivals, etc. A few drops of this under the tongue relaxes me enough to get past the anxiousness.
Customer Rating: Summary: Whoa! It actually does what it says it does... Comment: This stuff works. Just like any drug, you'll quickly build a tolerance for it, so you can't use it very often if you want the most dramatic results. Most people who would buy this stuff would NOT be going through daily severe emotional trauma anyway.
But when you're feeling a negative emotion in its extremes (the more energetic ones like anger, worry, fear, or bewilderment/shock from a bad news), it'll completely even you out within a few minutes.
I once was worrying a lot about a situation that I couldn't really do anything about because I was so far away. So, I was sitting in emotional turmoil, and realized I bought this stuff a while back. I took a few drops and was feeling much more still, which is all I wanted.
Definite thumbs up!
Customer Rating: Summary: Rescue Remedy Comment: I bought this product at the recommendation of our vet to reduce my dogs anxiety. So far, I haven't seen a big change, but I believe I will after time. If you need relief from stress and anxiety, I would recommend this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: it's a toss-up Comment: To be honest, I was very skeptical of this when I took it, but my stepmom swears by it, and I was into herbal remedies at the time. About four years ago I was facing taking my first driving test and was terrified that I was going to utterly destroy myself out there. I'd only had a week to learn how to drive -- I was 21, you see, and had been living in the city without a car. I put on a pair of sneakers and my stepmom handed me a glass of water and put the recommended dose in it. I continued freaking out about the test for a few minutes.
Once I got there, though, I was like a zen master. I don't know if it was just placebo (it seems like it simply must be -- see the "brandy" review below) or if it really did something for me, but I hadn't felt THAT calm in a long time. I even aced parallel parking, which I'd only had time to practice for an hour or two the day before.
So I guess the question is, are you willing to try it and see? :) I don't know that I'd buy it again. I guess it's like sinking a basket on the first try -- you don't want to go for it again, because you wouldn't feel like a winner if you didn't pull it off twice.
Customer Rating: Summary: Started using it for the cats Comment: Had a very upsetting experience that I couldn't quite handle--so I just tried the Bach's in desperation. Much to my surprise, I was calm within about 5 minutes. I've suggested Rescue Remedy to several friends who have had the same experience.
It's an inexpensive, drug free, nonaddictive way to calm down. And yes, it does help cats who are feeling ill and stressed out, too.
