Customer Rating: Summary: easy to use Comment: All of the parts were included and the instructions were simple to follow. Saved me a ton of money vs. buying a whole new door lift! You can't go wrong.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great kit! Comment: Thanks for the previous reviews on this kit. I just finished redoing my garage door opener in about an hour.
I took my time and just followed the directions. You don't even need to pull the opener frame down from its mount to rebuild it!
Wish everything went this smooth! :)
Customer Rating: Summary: Saved me $400 Comment: Being able to replace the parts instead of having to buy new unit saved me over $400.
The parts were just what was needed. Very easy to follow directions. And the parts came
from Amazon within a few days. All worked out well.....
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazon to the rescue! Comment: after my sears garage door opener quit working I was sure I was going to have to replace it, boy was I wrong! This kit made the repair job a breeze. A Guy
(or Gal) could do this simple repair in about 2 hours and save a lot of money. no special tools required to change the sprocket(the worm gear was fine) thanks Amazon!
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm a girl Comment: And I had this installed in about 2 hours, plus time for tweaking. I agree you could get the less expensive set and assemble the shaft pieces yourself. The instructions were simple. I didn't have to label anything, just unscrew, unplug the electrical, desemble, change out the parts, re-install and plug it back in. The tweaking was the worst part. I recommend leaving the cover of the main unit off until you get it to operate right. (just remember to unplug it before you work on it again)
