Customer Rating: Summary: Intellicode Works Fine Comment: I bought this unit to replace a hard-wired Intellicode button inside the garage for closing and opening the door from the inside. The hard-wired switch never operated correctly, or more precisely, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The single-button remote is much cheaper than a new hard-wired button and provides a spare car remote if it is ever needed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Loose Prongs Comment: As for garage door remotes, its average. The only problem I had with it, is that the prongs that hold the battery come loose from time to time, making the remote not work. I just bend them back in to tighten the connection.
Customer Rating: Summary: Needed Extra Opener Comment: We needed an extra opener to accommodate an additional vehicle. The remote serves that function admirably. The only issue is the instructions did not point out the location of the "smart" button for my particular opener to program the remote. The instructions said to look on the back of the opener. The button was actually near the lights on the front. I am very satisified with the purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works OK, but cheap design Comment: I've used these remotes for 7 years, only problem I've had is the battery contact bent so that it didn't contact the battery, but this is easy to fix - all you have to do is bend the metal. In general, the remote is very cheaply designed, all the parts including the external plastic and rubber button are ridiculously cheap. I tried to use the better designed Chamberlain remote, but it won't work with the Genie, different frequency.
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy, bulky, cheap, works! Comment: It was easy to set up, took 15 seconds, and works from short distance. If you expect it to work from around the corner, look elsewhere!
Overall I am satisfied, found exactly what I wanted and paid for, arrived in 2 days!
