Summary: Sea Monkeys ok
Comment: I bought two basic sea monkey instant life packs. The one small glass bowl I used, I added aquarium rocks & a frog trinket. I don't think this worked well, because after they hatched they didn't live long. The other small glass bowl I used, I just added bottled water. They hatched and are doing fine. They are a few centimeters, and swim all around. The water gets kinda murky from sitting, but I don't want to remove any of it for fear of sucking out a sea monkey, so I will add some bottled water. I missplaced the food and hope they like fishfood. Overall its an ok aquatic "toy". I think the most exciting thing about it waiting for them to hatch. I have had them for about 2 weeks, and will write back if anything exciting happens with them.

Comment: I've always wanted Sea Monkeys, since seeing them advertised in magazines when I was a child. A coworker has some on her desk and I got so enthralled by them that I bought a kit for my friend and myself. It's been really fun to watch them grow.

Comment: Sea monkeys can be great fun, but can also be a great deal of responsibility. When deciding whether to bring sea monkeys into your home, you must carefully weigh the pros and cons, and also do your research. As with any pet, the more you know, the more you can enjoy your new companions' company.
The benefits of sea monkeys are plenty. You'll be amazed at the number of sea monkeys who hatch from the eggs stored in the tiny packet. It just goes to prove that old cliche true, that good things do indeed come in small packages. Sea monkeys are easy to grow and easy to keep in the smallest of homes. Sea monkeys are also lively and cute, providing you with hours of entertainment as you watch them swim around.
However, nothing is perfect. Sea monkeys continue to grow for as long as you keep them alive. They start out small, about the size of the head of a pin. However, as you continue feeding them, they will get larger and larger, making their features more prominent, and allowing them to gain strength that their smaller bodies would be incapable of. It is important to make sure that your sea monkeys don't grow too large or too strong, as there have been reported incidents of sea monkeys who have grown too powerful to control and too large to contain.

Comment: I bought a bunch of these as party favors for my daughter's 7th birthday, and everyone who started their sea monkeys has reported that they hatched. Adults may remember experiences when we were younger that the hatch rate was iffy, but the sea monkey stock seems to have been improved. Easy to follow directions (seven year olds need some help), and fun to watch them grow!
