Comment: this was an impulse buy to try to avoid shaving the groin area with a straight razor. I have had a difficult time to get a complete shave over certain parts, but there is not pain and no left over bumps. so the skin is clean and smooth, but not all the hair is gone. I am still experimenting with it. overall i am glad i purchased it for th no pain factor.

Comment: I noticed a plethora of raves for this product. I personally don't get it. I enjoy, and have reviewed positively, nearly every product I've purchased on Amazon. This one is truly inferior. I was excited by the concept. It works to an extent, but there are hundreds of products out there that do the same tasks and do it better. In addition, you take your future offspring in your hands if you are foolish enough to groom in areas where one does not speak. One user describes the "chunk" taken out. He knows of what he speaks. Your option. I bought it, I used it a few times, found it to be a dangerous, poorly functioning and poorly designed product and now it collects dust. Can't seem to throw it out due to the cost. Perhaps I can groom my dog with it :) .

Comment: Wasnt sure at first because a few people were negative in reviews, but seriously this is the best thing i ever did, what used to be a real chore, and took almost an hour trying not to get hurt, i can now do better and in just minutes i would totaly buy it all over again i never dreamed anything could tackle such a delicate job with such ease

Summary: Next to Closest shave... Very Good Trimmer... Designed to Perfection
Comment: OK... I admit I am a hairy man (just like most other men)... After a lot of making my mind up (and embarrassment in the Gym), I decided to shave my legs and upper body... This is my first trimmer and I am glad I bought this. This trimmer is designed to remove every bit of that hair you don't want in your body. Shaves the closest if you run it over a couple times. Thanks to Norelco, my legs are the talk of the gym now. I have hard time understanding why people say it cuts. I push it HARD to my skin for the closest shave and it does its job just fine - No cuts whatsoever. Some people reviewed saying they can;t fix their sideburns etc, guys, lets get real... its a body groomer, don't use it above the neck... it works perfect in your private areas and trust me no cuts. Also, there are NO foil burns. This is the best trimmer and I would highly recommend this. Thanks to Amazon for their professional handling. My product got lost due to USPS stupidity, but they sent another one in just a couple days. So, don't spare a second thought and give it a try.

Summary: Junk!! Don't even think about wasting your money on this!
Comment: I purchased my first BG 2020 in May of 2006. I used it several times a week and within a few weeks it started making a terrible rattling noise. This noise was the cutter and foil rattling in the head. This also caused the cutter and foil assembly to fall out regularly. It was effectively worn out after a few weeks. I contacted Philips and had to send in the original BG for a replacement. After using the replacement, same thing happened. It's not durable at all- apparently they only planned on the user using it once a month. If used once a month, it MIGHT last a year. It's definitely NOT designed to be used every day or every other day, unless you want to replace it every few weeks.
It needs to be completely redesigned as far as the cutter/foil goes so it will be more durable.
