Comment: I am really impressed with this shaver, I chose this over the new Pulsonic one as I think they will both do the same and you end up paying much less for this one. Close shave and fast,,, I had the old bruan model which was ok, but this new foil really works and I am very happy about the purchase. Also Battery will last you at least 10+ shaves without recharching..
I recommend this product to prospective buyers

Comment: My shave is very hard and grows is different directions and even Gillette blades had hard time for me. This is not only the best shaver...its actually among the best products I have ever tried. Do yourself a favor and but it if you wanna look clean!

Summary: Braun 8985 360 Is a Superb Electric Shaver
Comment: I hesitated paying the sticker price for the Consumer Reports top rated Braun 8985 360. I have used electric razors for over 50 years including Remington, Norelco, Krups, Braun and some others. The very inexpensive Braun I was currently using was not satisfactory because it seemed to take forever to get only a passable shave.
The Braun 8985 360 lists at about $170 and includes an automatic cleaning and recharging system that I was unconvinced I really needed, however, its performance was rated excellent and so it has proved to be. I am able to get an excellent, close shave amazingly fast compared to my inexpensive model. In fact, the Braun 8985 outperforms any electric razor I have ever used. The automatic cleaning and recharging system is recommended after each use, however, I use the system only once per week substituting hand cleaning the rest of the week and that has worked out fine. Altogether superb shaver.

Comment: I was never one for shavers whether they were electric or cordless. I always used Gillette products the best hand shaver the Fusion with multiple blades was the best by far. But now having this Braun 8985 it does a great job that's why I have described it as the bomb. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a great shave!

Summary: Is this considered good?
Comment: Okay, let me start out by saying I've never been able to get a good, close shave all over my face with any razor. Apparently, my facial hair is thicker and grows faster than the majority of the rest of the world. That being said, it really irritates me that I can't find a razor that can make me look like I shaved recently. I have a 5 o'clock shadow an hour after I shave. That being said, I'll stick to the issues I have with this razor I didn't have with a blade:
1) It can't manage to shave my neck at all. I have to go over that area with a straight razor after I shave.
2) I now have to use lectric shave pre-shave, which will not come off my face (even after swabbing with alcohol and soap & water). The oil left behind quickly and obviously is absorbed into my collars.
3) The automatic cleaner doesn't register when the cartridge needs changing. It always says full, even after a month and a nearly-empty (and filthy) cartridge.
I was hoping that this would be a good razor, as spending $6/week on some gimmicky blade is something I'm not willing to do and the cheaper blades just don't cut it (literally). I thought a $140 razor would do the trick, but I was wrong. If anybody out there knows of an electric that will actually do what its advertising says, please let me know.
