Summary: So much information!
Comment: I've hardly finished reading one New Scientist when another arrives. The articles are well written and on a fascinating array of subjects. It's aimed at an audience with a general interest in science but doesn't require any specific knowledge. There is so much packed into this subscription that you won't need - or have time for - any other magazines.

Summary: Excellent and topical magazine
Comment: I've previously subscribed to Scientific American and Discover and this magazine is now my favorite of the three. The articles are not as long as SciAm, but they go into enough detail to satisfy. I also really enjoy the science briefs and reviews sections. Another advantage of this magazine is that it is weekly, so it stays topical. It's also nice to get an "outside" point of view on some topics from this British magazine.

Summary: The Brits do it again
Comment: Why is it that the English write the best weekly news magazine, The Economist, and the best weekly science magazine, New Scientist? Reading all these English magazines is wreaking havoc on my American spelling ability. The breadth of topics in New Scientist is remarkable, and the articles are pertinent, useful, and very enjoyable to read. If you're a scientist, read Scientific American. Everyone else, read New Scientist.

Summary: Never got the magazine
Comment: The subscription broker for this magazine never fulfilled my subscription to New Scientist. I strongly recommend subscribing directly from the New Scientist website.
